Incident at GANDER INTL NL (CYQX)
Summary
1996-05-29: After departing Tel Aviv, the pilot received a message that rubber was found on the departure runway. The aircraft diverted to Gander upon reaching Canadian airspace and landed uneventfully. After landing, maintenance determined that the retread on the #7 tire (inside rear) on the right main landing gear had come off causing minor damage to the rear stabilizer and the inboard flap.TSB case closed.
