Incident at Gander OCA 50N 35W
Summary
1996-05-24: The C130 departed Gander for EDGL at 2329z, at 0143z the crew reported trouble with two engines and suspected the cause was contaminated fuel that was supplied in Gander. At 0157z the crew reported that the tanks containing the Gander supplied fuel had been isolated and the engine problems had cleared. The flight continued without further incident. Gander ACC Shift Manager forwarded the report to the Airport duty manager and the fuel handler. The Duty Manager subsequently reported that fuel tests indicated no sign of fuel contamination in the supply tanker. This information was passed on to RRR5063. Two other aircraft that refuelled at Gander from the same tanker reported operations normal.
