Incident at St. John's, Nfld. (ATS operating irregularity)

Summary

1998-02-18: Air Canada DC-9 The PA28 had been cleared onto the runway to hold short of another runway due to landing traffic. The air traffic controller then forgot about the PA28 and cleared the DC9 for takeoff on that same runway. An unidentified voice on the radio warned the controller of the situation and he then corrected the error. No TSB involvement.
