Incident at Gander Oceanic airspace

Summary

1998-02-18: Enroute from Europe to JFK the pilot advised that he was shutting down the #2 engine due to low oil pressure. ATC was unable to comply with a request for descent due traffic so the aircraft descended in accordance with normal contingency descent plans. The aircraft landed without incident in Goose Bay, Labrador.
