Incident at east of Cartwright, Labrador
Summary
1997-03-25: While towing an instrument designed to measure ice, the engine failed. The pilot carried out a forced landing. The pilot reports that just prior to the failure the engine temperatures were higher than normal, followed by a loud rumbling noise and bang. Maintenance will advise of the cause of the engine failure when it has been determined. TSB case close.
