Incident at Gander Oceanic Airspace
Summary
1997-03-25: The pilot reported a "fuel temp" indication which required a descent from FL390 to FL310. Air traffic control was unable to approve request due traffic so the pilot carried out a contingency descent (30 miles south of track). Upon reaching FL310 the aircraft was cleared on course. TSB evaluating.
