Summary
1996-01-22: Glider was being towed to altitude with a Bellanca Scout. After take-off pilot observed that the spoilers on the glider were deployed and attempted to alert the glider pilot by wagging the tow plane rudder. The glider pilot misinterpreted the signal and released at approx. 100 feet above ground. Glider was observed to spin to the ground and sustained sub. damage. Minor injuries to pilot.
