Incident at CAMPBELL RIVER/KILDIDT SOUND

Summary

1995-08-27: While en route to a fishing resort, the pilot of the float equipped DHC-3 Turbo Otter had to carry out a forced landing on the water because of engine failure. An examination revealed that the aircraft's fuel supply had been exhausted, and that the fuel gauge had given the pilot an erroneously high reading. There was no injury or damage.
