Incident at COWICHAN LAKE

Summary

1995-08-28: The Bell 206L Helicopter had landed on the wooden helipad and, with the engine and rotors still turning, the pilot and passenger got out and began unloading the aircraft. During the unloading, the wooden main support beam for the pad broke, causing the helicopter to roll onto its side. The helicopter was substantially damaged and the passenger received minor injuries.
