Accident at VANCOUVER


1999-01-15: DC3 departed Runway 08 IFR for Prince Rupert. After take-off, crew advised they had a problem and would like to return to airport. They were offered immediate return to Runway 26, but declined and turned downwind for Runway 08. They then asked for Runway 30 and were cleared to land, but A/C crashed on the dyke of the middle arm of the Fraser River. 3 SOB, all seriously injured.
