Incident at DISCOVERY ISLAND

Summary

1995-07-21: The crew of the S-76 helicopter noted a burning odour inside cabin , and fluctuations or failures in several engine instruments. The helicopter landed safely at 1340Z. It is believed that an improperly secured cowling allowed hot exhaust gases to enter the engine compartment resulting in the burned wires.
