Incident at CAMPBELL RIVER
Summary
1995-04-20: At 1606Z, Wilderness WLD200 reported 8 miles East and was given an advisory that Runway 11 was active with two other aircraft already established for Runway 11. The pilot elected to do a straight-in approach for Runway 29. At 1608Z, Time Air TAF1260 reported following WLD200 straight in for Runway 29. Time Air was given the advisory that Runway 11 was active with two other aircraft in the circuit. At 1609Z, Transport TGO100 reported breaking off the approach because of opposite direction traffic. Wilderness WLD200 landed on Runway 29 at 1610Z while Time Air TAF1260 elected to change to Runway 11 due to traffic considerations.
