Summary
1996-06-12: On landing on the water the left float failed and the aircraft overturned in the water. The pilot, two adults and one child all escaped without injury. Early indications indicate a possible failure of the left float spreader bar. The weather at the time of the incident was 11 sct E 32 BKN 50 BKN 80 OVR 15 RW-. Although the winds in the area were reported at 15 gusting to 20, the Bay where the accident occurred was apparently relatively calm.
