Incident at OTTAWA / MACDONALD-CARTIER INTL ON (CYOW) (Aerodrome - operations)
Summary
1995-12-19: The DA-20 aircraft (C-GOAS) departed VFR from Ottawa (M-CIA) (CYOW) runway 04. The aircraft's engine failed shortly after take-off. The pilot turned the aircraft around and landed runway 22 far enough along for the aircraft to become temporarily stuck in the snow at the threshold of runway 04. The pilot was able to free the aircraft from the snow and taxiied to the Ottawa Aviation Services ramp without further difficulty. Ops. impact -- none.
