Incident at Indianapolis, Indiana, USA


1995-11-16: While on short final, the flight crew observed fluctuating torque indications on the #2 engine (P&W PW120A) followed by an over-torque indication. The engine was shut down and the aircraft landed without incident. Flight data recorder information confirmed an over-torque condition had occurred and the company carried out the required inspections. The cause of the over-torque condition was a faulty electrical harness for the right engine control unit. The harness was replaced. Ops. Impact -- unknown. From a TSB Initial Notification.
