Incident at KITCHENER / WATERLOO ON (CYKF) (Aerodrome - power failure)
Summary
1998-01-22: A power line to the tower was cut at 1315Z, rendering telephones, interphones, hotline, ATIS and DFDPS printer unserviceable. Service was maintained with a cellular telephone and by co-ordinating with Toronto ACC directly on the PAL. At 1604Z, the 406 line and the hotline were serviceable again. At 1735Z, the NFDPS became serviceable again. At 1857Z, ATIS and all remaining telephones were serviceable again. Ops. impact -- none known.
