Summary
1995-10-21: An E.L.T. signal was recieved on 121.5 in the Ottawa Terminal Control Unit, Tower and by aircraft in the vicinity of the airport. A report was passed to Trenton RCC and the tower started action to determine the origin of the signal. It was subsequently discovered that the E.L.T. source was an Air Ontario Dash-8 parked at the military ramp. Action was taken to have a company official turn off the device. This was done and Trenton RCC was advised. Ops. impact -- none.
