Incident at North Bay, Ontario

Summary

1995-09-16: During glider tow at 1200' AGL, the glider moved rapidly to right and up from normal position. Tow pilot required full right rudder and large amount of aft stick to maintain near, but not normal, attitude. Tow pilot released the tow rope. Glider pilot released falling rope and recovered via normal circuit. Rope fell into wooded area adjacent to runway. Ops. Impact -- unknown.
