Incident at Sudbury, Ontario


1995-08-29: At approximately 43 nm northwest of Sudbury, pilot called mayday on 121.5. Toronto ACC told Sudbury Tower that C-FJEL had a window blow out and rapid depressurization, and had to shut down #1 engine. Vehicles were tarring near the threshold of runway 22 were moved and ERS was on standby for the uneventful landing. Aircraft landed at 2054Z, was shut down and evacuated. No reported injuries to the 7 SOBs. Ops. Impact -- vehicles moved.
