Summary
1995-07-12: Instructor and student were conducting the third training flight and student was attempting aero-tow with some difficulty. Instructor attempted to have student return glider to correct tow position. Bow (slack) in rope. Instructor took control and released the rope at 1700'AGL. Preoccupied with agitated student during the flight back to the field, an excessive sink rate was encountered. Aircraft landed without incident on a cross runway. Ops. Impact -- unknown.
