Incident at Fort Erie, Ontario

Summary

1995-06-22: Shortly after touchdown on runway 28 with a northerly wind gusting at approximately 10 knots, the aircraft began to weather cock into the wind and skidded sideways to the left. The pilot was unsuccessful in attempting to regain control of the aircraft and it continued to skid off the runway, collapsing its left main landing gear. The aircraft came to rest upright with substantial damage to its left wing, lower fuselage and landing gear. Two (2) S.O.B. -- no injuries.
