Incident at Brampton, Ontario

Summary

1997-07-22: Aircraft departed Burlington for Arthur. At Georgetown, pilot heard a loud "bang" and experienced vibration and backfiring. Pilot broadcasted a "PAN" message on 121.5 and was subsequently given 119.3 (VFR). Toronto TCU controller gave pilot a heading for Brampton where the aircraft landed without incident at 1842Z. Ops. Impact -- none.
