Incident at east of Toronto (Conflict - loss of separation)
Summary
1997-05-02: CDN486 (B737) was climbing eastbound en-route to Moncton Airport (CYQM). C-FNGA was climbing eastbound from Toronto (Buttonville) Municipal Airport (CYKZ) to Ottawa (M-CIA) (CYOW). C-FNGA was below and ahead of CDN486 but its vertical speed (climb) was greater. CDN486 overtook C-FNGA at almost the location where both aircraft were at the same altitude. Vertical and lateral separation were less than required. Ops. impact -- none.
