at Near Hearst, Ontario (about 15km west)
Summary
1997-05-02: The pilot departed Nakina (Ontario) and revised the flight plan (GPS u/s) with full tanks of gas following the railway line to Hearst (Ontario). The pilot lost sight of the tracks as it was getting dark and was unable to find them again. The tracks were found after some searching and followed until towers west of Hearst were encountered. It was getting dark and without navigation lights, the pilot thought a field was the airport. After a couple of low passes, the pilot landed fine without damage (Concession 2-3, Lot 26, Hanlan Township). One (1) S.O.B.
