Incident at Los Angeles, California, USA
Summary
1997-04-16: During the takeoff roll, the aircrew rejected at low speed due to an unsafe aft cargo door ECAM indication. The aircraft exited the runway and returned to the terminal area without further incident. An examination revealed that the cargo door handle had popped out from the fully secured position resulting in the indication. The handle was restowed and further examination found that a light tap would pop the handle. The handle was secured in the locked position and the aircraft returned to Toronto without further incident. Ops. Impact -- unknown. From a TSB I.N.
