Summary
1996-07-17: KLM615 was in level flight at 35,000' on J597 en route to Detroit. CDN902 was at FL370 on J596 en route to Ottawa. At 75 nm southeast of North Bay, the Cobalt Controller handed CDN902 off to Montreal. Montreal Area Control Centre descended CDN902 to FL290. At 91 nm southeast of North Bay, the lateral separation between the aircraft was less than 5 nm and vertical separation was less than 2,000 feet. Ops. Impact -- nil.
