Incident at near Hamilton (Mount Hope) Municipal Airport (CYHM)
Summary
1996-05-13: The aircraft was en-route when the pilot observed smoke entering the cockpit. He declared an emergency and ERS were standing by for the landing at Hamilton. After the aircraft came to a stop, the engine cowlings were removed, and engine oil was observed to be seeping from the forward crankshaft seal onto the alternator and starter. Ops. impact -- unknown.
