Accident at LaRonge, Saskatchewan

Summary

1997-04-01: The aircraft which was parked on the ice in front of Athabaska Airways float base was entered by an unauthorized individual. The aircraft engine was started and a take-off was attempted without success. The aircraft crashed into trees along the shoreline. The aircraft was damaged beyond economical repair. The closet pilot was impaired and the RCMP have laid a plethora of charges.
