Incident at La Ronge, Saskatchewan
Summary
1997-04-01: The pilot of C-FVOG, a LaRonge Air Services DHC6 (Twin Otter) advised La Ronge FSS that he was diverting to LaRonge due to a malfunction of the aircraft's starboard engine. The aircraft had departed Pine House, a local mining schedule flight. There were besides the pilot, 6 passengers on board. While enroute to LaRonge, the pilot asked for and received a special VFR clearance since LaRonge weather was partially obscured, 2500 broken 1 1/2 miles in light snow. The aircraft was landed at LaRonge without further incident. Company maintenance are in the process of determining the cause of the engine problem.
