Incident at Winnipeg, Manitoba
Summary
1997-04-01: The crew of Transport 975 were on a local training flight when they noticed fuel venting on the right side of the aircraft. The crew then advised ATC that they were returning to Winnipeg to rectify the problem. The aircraft landed safely on runway 31. Inspection on the fuel cap determined that the cap had not been secured properly after refuelling. The crew did not notice a problem during the walk around.
