Incident at Saskatoon, Saskatchewan
Summary
1997-04-01: C-GXXC was on final to runway 33 at Saskatoon while Westwind Instrument Trainer a 200 Series Beech Craft was on a full procedure back course approach to runway 09 with a circling to land on runway 33. These two flights were initially separated by vertical and radar until C-GXXC reached approximately 3 miles from the end of the runway. At this point there was less than the required 3 miles lateral without vertical separation. The weather at the time was P 12 X Visibility 1 1/2 miles in light snow. There was a theoretical loss of separation. There was however, no risk of collision.
