Summary
1997-03-27: A minor standby for Air Canada Flight 196, an Airbus A320, IFR Winnipeg to Toronto reported an electrical smoke problem while on departure runway 36. The aircraft returned and landed safely at 2228Z. No other aircraft were inconvenienced. UPDATE: Maintenance had replaced the No. 1 pack primary heat exchanger prior to the flight.
