Incident at WINNIPEG / JAMES ARMSTRONG RICHARDSON INTL MB (CYWG) (TCAS alert)
Summary
1997-03-27: Air Canada 188 had departed Winnipeg for Ottawa and was climbing to FL290. Walsten Air, C-FKJI was on descent to Winnipeg from Dryden and had vacated FL20000. Both aircraft were being vectored when the crew of Air Canada 188 reported a TCAS warning. Both aircraft were given additional vectors, however, separation was not maintained. ATC are in the process of determining whether or not a fact finding board will be conducted.
