Accident at Island Lake, Manitoba
Summary
1997-03-27: Pilot of C-GTXH, an AC69 Aero Commander 500, (Ministic Air Ltd) reported gear up landing. No injuries, props okay, belly damage. Disabled aircraft on runway 1/3 way from threshold 30. Rwy 12/30 closed til 262207Z to remove disabled aircraft from runway. Update: As power was reduced, the pilot interpreted the landing gear warning horn as a stall warning and continued the landing wheels up.
