Incident at Saskatoon, Saskatchewan

Summary

1997-03-27: On take-off from Saskatoon, the take-off warning horn sounded at 60 per cent torque. The captain reduced power and confirmed that all switch, trim and flap settings were correct. He re-applied power but when the warning horn sounded again, he started to taxi back to the apron. While taxiing the captain changed the flap setting from five degrees to 10 degrees and re-applied power. The horn did not sound with the new flap setting and the aircraft departed with 10 degrees of flap for the take-off.
