Accident at 8NM SE Carlyle, Saskatchewan

Summary

1996-03-21: The pilot and only occupant of a spray equipped Weatherby 620B struck a powerline during the application of Lorsban 4E. The aircraft, although equipped with a wire cutter, broke both retaining poles (due to age). The aircraft, poles and wire all came to rest on the ground. The aircraft came to rest inverted, the pilot,however,was wearing a helmet plus a four point shoulder harness. The pilot received cuts and abrasions but was otherwise unhurt. The aircraft suffered extensive damage.
