Incident at BLACK LAKE SK (Water) (CJZ6)

Summary

1997-03-21: Due to heavy smoke which reduced flight visibilities to near zero, the pilot was forced to deviate from his direct track. This deviation depleted the aircraft's fuel reserves. The pilot demonstrated excellent airmanship by advising North Battleford FSS of his fuel difficulties. The pilot was able to land at Black Lake where the aircraft was refuelled. There was no further incident.
