Incident at Rwy 05/23 Uranium City, Sask.

1997-03-21: Aircraft was out of Flin Flon VFR to Uranium City with 1 pilot and 3 passengers. After landing pilot selected flaps up and while repositioning his legs inadvertently bumped the gear selector to the up position with his knee which caused the nose gear down locks to release which in turn caused the nose gear to collapse on the runway. The pilot reported no fire, no fuel spill. Update: The pilot initially thought that he may have bumped the landing gear handle with his right knee, but has disproven that theory. It is now believed that the landing gear handle was not fully down prior to landing and vibrated to the up position during the landing roll. The pilot may have accidently selected gear up rather than flaps up after landing. The possibilities in this senerio are endless.
