Incident at Winnipeg, Manitoba
Summary
1996-04-24: CAV7390, BE20 IFR Thompson-Lac Brochet, pilot requested clearance back to Thompson at 1357Z. He reported a malfunctioning engine. ETA Thompson 1500Z. At 1417Z, pilot declared an emergency. He reported he had a fire warning light on, left engine shut down. The light eventually went out. Aircraft landed Thompson at 1505Z. 5 SOB. Update: Maintenance changed a faulty fire detector and the aircraft was returned to service.
