Incident at Moosomin, Sask.

Summary

1996-04-23: The pilot had filed a VFR flight plan St. Andrews to Broadview to Regina with final destination Saskatoon. While enroute the aircraft encountered poor weather and the pilot air filed IFR. The pilot then advised ATC that he was unable to continue to destination because of deteriorating weather and diverted to Moosomin. However, the pilot was unable to locate the airstrip at Moosomin and was forced to do a precautionary landing on a road approx. 5 miles from Moosomin. There was no damage to the aircraft and the pilot and his passenger were unharmed.
