Incident at WINNIPEG / JAMES ARMSTRONG RICHARDSON INTL MB (CYWG)
Summary
1996-04-24: The aircraft departed runway 36 on the return leg of a Medevac flight to Thompson, Manitoba. The crew of FMBL advised tower that a bird had struck their port engine and requested clearance back to Winnipeg where an uneventful landing was accomplished. Although the bird caused a mess to the engine cowling and intake rim, there was no other damage. The engine manufacturer (Garrett) were advised. After consultation, the crew ground ran the engine and found it to be operating normally. The aircraft was put back on the line.
