Incident at Yorkton, Saskatchewan (Incursion - runway - vehicle)

Summary

1996-04-23: C-FCXW called 5 out, reported inbound landing at Yorkton. FSS advised that runway 21 was preferred and that vehicles were on the runway and would be removed. The vehicles cleared the runway and advised FSS who then told the pilot. The aircraft reported on final, the FSS operator visually checked, not seeing the aircraft asked where it was. A vehicle advised that the aircraft was on final for runway 12. The aircraft saw the vehicles, pulled up and overshot on very short final. The aircraft subsequently landed on runway 21. The pilot said that he had not reset his D.G.
