Incident at THUNDER BAY ON (CYQT)
Summary
1997-03-21: The crew of a LR36 which is owned and operated by Pratt & Whitney Canada was in position for departure off Runway 30 at Thunder Bay. A C152 (C-GISI) entered the control zone Ronly. The Lear delayed its departure until Thunder ATS personnel were able to determine what the intentions of C-GISI were. The pilot and only occupant of the C152 had flown VFR from Kenora without onboard radio problems. However, the pilot was unable to transmit on Thunder Bay Tower frequency 118.1. The pilot squawked 7600 and was able to land with FSS in assistance.
