Incident at PICKLE LAKE ON (CYPL)
Summary
1997-03-21: The Beech 18S, C-GJKA, was returning to Pickle Lake, Ontario, following a charter freight flight to Kasabonika lake, Ontario. When the pilot selected the landing gear down, the landing gear system did not indicate that the gear was down and locked. The pilot cycled the gear several times using both the normal and emergency systems, but the landing gear system still did not indicate that the gear was down and locked. The aircraft landed with ERS standing by. On touchdown, the landing gear retracted and the aircraft sustained minor damage to its propellers, cowlings, belly and tail. One POB no injuries. Occurrence is not being investigated.
