Incident at HALIFAX / STANFIELD INTL NS (CYHZ)

Summary

1997-03-20: The aircraft aborted take-off on RWY 33. The aircraft vacated the RWY in TXY Bravo and ERS responded due to a possible tire blowout. ERS indicated that all was o.k. externally and the aircraft taxied back to the gate. Rwy 33 was checked for debris and was found to be clear. No operational impact or traffic interference.TSB evaluating. UPDATE - Maintenance replaced the right engine fuel control unit, carried out a ground run and returned the aircraft to service.
