Incident at Gander, Nfld (Incursion - runway - vehicle)
Summary
1996-07-09: A maintenance vehicle was cleared onto the runway by the control tower. Several minutes later, the DC10 was cleared to land without cancelling the vehicle's clearance on the runway. The controller had visually scanned the runway but did not see the vehicle which had temporarily exitted the runway.
