Incident at 75 miles north of Deer Lake, Nfld.
Summary
1997-03-20: The pilot of FAWR relayed through another aircraft to Deer Lake FSS that he had had a loss of power on departure from a lake. The aircraft settled back onto the water and ran aground, substantially damaging the right float. No injuries. The pilot activated the ELT. Search and rescue picked up the pilot and two passengers that same day.
