Incident at HALIFAX / STANFIELD INTL NS (CYHZ)
Summary
1997-03-20: The Chipmunk attempted two take-offs, on each attempt the aircraft turned 180 degrees on the runway before getting airborne. The pilot taxied off the runway to fix his brakes. On the third attempt the aircraft became airborne for only a few seconds when the pilot advised he was aborting again. A puff of smoke was noticed comming from the aircraft but the pilot advised that all was under control. The aircraft taxied back to the ramp. No TSB involvement.
