Accident at 17 NM West South West Of St.Johns Airport

Summary

1997-03-20: A transmission was recieved from the aircraft that the engine had quit and the pilot was attempting an emergency landing. The downed aircraft was located by another company aircraft shortly thereafter. A rescue operation was carried out. Pilot and instructor were airlifted to hospital. One had undetermined neck and back injuries. Aircraft damage was substantial. TSB closed.
