Incident at St. John's, Nfld.

Summary

1996-05-21: Aircraft enroute from Stephenville, Nfld. to St. John's. The pilot shutdown the port engine due to loss of oil pressure and declared an emergency requesting ERS on standby. Landed safely at 1000z. TSB evaluatng. UPDATE - Maintenance found a broken line that is part of the propeller governing system and this allowed oil to leak from the system and cause the engine low oil pressure light to illuminate. TSB case closed.
